MY MISSION

“And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good”. Genesis 1:31

My mission with my photography is to remind everyone who sees it, of this verse. God is our creator and the creator of all life and his creations are very good. We have only him to thank for all the blessings and beauty around us. When you look at my nature photos, I want them to make you think of this verse and of our wonderful creator. Please do not think of me, please only give glory to God as he deserves it all and all of the things in my photos are not mine but his designs. I am only here to share of his goodness by using my camera to bring a piece of nature and a reminder of Genesis 1:31 to you.

MY STORY

When I was 10 years old, my great grandmother got me my first little camera. As a curious child who could not be kept indoors, the camera was a way that I could excitedly share all of my cool discoveries with my family and friends. The camera went everywhere I did and I took pictures of everything because I didn’t want to forget a single moment. In 2019, I got a job as a photographer for the riders at a horse stable and shortly after using a much better camera there, I upgraded myself. Not long after, I knew I wanted to have my own photography print store.

For some reason though, I always pushed this off and tried other things and other businesses first. They all ended up making me feel drained, frustrated and like none of them were just not right for me. Fortunately, I was able to learn things from all of the failures, so I know they were all part of God’s plan and I’m thankful for it all, really. God’s plan and his timing is perfect. He always has a way of putting things in your life at just the right time. I have never had a desire or even imagined posting videos to YouTube until in early 2024, when I kept getting a bunch of “document your life and just go for it” videos showing up in my feed. I kept taking this as a sign because it was so sudden and then consistent, like I couldn’t get away from these videos and they made me feel really good after watching them. A few months later, I went for it with camera. I realized that I did really enjoy filmmaking in nature and vlogging parts of my own life, so my YouTube Channel, “Life of Brendalyn”, was born. This actually brings me to now where I’m at today with this print store. Being with my camera again in nature reminded me of my (almost long-lost) dream of having a print store for my photography, so I finally went for that too.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read all of this. There is one more thing I would love to add before you leave this page. I hope you know that Jesus loves you and cares for you so much that he has died on earth for you and made a spot for you in eternal paradise with him, if you will only accept him. He gives peace, joy and freedom and has such wonderful plans for your life. He wants to guide you and give you all that God has created you for. You were created so carefully with so much love, no part of you is an accident and you have so many things, big and small, that you were created to do. Don’t waste this precious gift of life trying to do it all on your own because you will never be fully satisfied with the things of this world and without him. Call upon the name of Jesus and let him transform your life and lead you to where you’re supposed to be.
